Black Heritage Month serves as one of the richest traditions at the University of South Florida and we want to be sure to include you in celebration of this tradition. Throughout the month of February, Black Heritage Month promotes great camaraderie among  the USF and Tampa Bay community by hosting several events and programs that highlight the importance and significance of Black culture.

The mission of Black Heritage Month is to educate the USF community on the importance of the history and significance of Black culture. Lectures, films, art exhibits and cultural presentations are just a few examples of the types of educational and social programs that will be presented during University of South Florida's Black Heritage Month. Student Organizations or university departments can be a part of this educational experience by submitting a proposal for an event/activity to take place during February.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is accepting program proposals that demonstrate the greatest potential to encourage, enhance, and enlighten others about the rich heritage and culture of the Black community.
